Less Competition
The competition for the housing marking drops offs during the “off-season”. But there are still a lot of homes for sale – there’s just as much for sale in the fall as during the spring and summer.
Sellers are serious
Keep in mind that not all homes on the market are summer leftovers. There are some that need to sell in the fall because the timing is right.
Fall is a safer time of year
According to Sarah Brown, a home safety expert for SafeWise.com. “July and August are prime months for burglaries to take place,” she says. “Waiting until the fall [to buy] gives you an advantage when learning about a home and the neighborhood.”
You’re the center of attention
Real estate agents are usually busier with potential buyers/sellers in the spring and summer and that could mean you may not receive the attention you want.
