Closing the transaction invariably involves a series of problems involving the parties, attorneys, home inspectors, title companies and lenders. LOCAL MARKET KNOWLEDGE AND CIVIC INVOLVEMENT
I have lived in Morris my entire life and obviously know the neighborhoods well. With 30+ years of listing and selling homes, I have personal experience with many of the homes in the market. I follow new listings daily and when possible, attend all Realtor open houses.
I am active in civic and philanthropic activities in Morris and Grundy County. Most recently I am working with the Grundy Community Foundation to organize a Woman’s Giving Circle. The concept involves women meeting quarterly, contributing $100 and collectively giving the proceeds to worthwhile community charities. If you are interested, call me.
RELATIONSHIP WITH ATTORNEYS, TITLE COMPANIES AND LENDERS
In many real estate transactions the ability of timely access to the attorneys, title companies and lenders is critical in negotiating the contract and closing the transactions. I have developed these relationships based on my credibility, trustworthiness and good temperament.
At the end of the day, integrity is the Key characteristic and is intertwined with all aspects of the transaction. Examples include:
- Quoting a reasonable list price knowing some owners will take the highest quote;
- Negotiating for the client’s best interest, not just to generate a commission
- Always focusing on my client’s best interest
- Making full disclosure as required regardless of the consequences
